The train is located approx. 10 km east of Battambang and is mainly just a simple platform made of bamboo, which is powered by a motorcycle engine and runs on the old, single train track built during the French colonial time. A ride on this vehicle is a unique experience and you should really not miss it.

It offers a natural and historical site, such as the killing caves, a beautiful buddhist temple, a big golden plated Buddha and the famous bat caves. This an ancient temple about 22 km south from Battambang. Just like its famous cousin in Angkor this temple consists of 5 towers - one in each. But the long, stone staircase at the base of the mountain is very specific.
This is an irrigation system that was built during the Khmer Rouge period. It is situated about 36 km from Battambang and ressembles a kind of artificial lake. Once in the region you can also do a boat tour on the lake and visit the famous lotus farm with its beautiful scenery, perfect for a series of Instagram selfies.
